Jackie Selman Carpenter lives in Sparwood with husband Chris. We have raised two children. Tyler lives with Autism, an intellectual disability, and a rare birth defect. Madison is a compassionate and caring young woman.

I have volunteered on boards locally, provincially, and federally. Each of these boards have provided me the ability to learn about supports that are available, connect with other parents, and learn how to advocate in the systems that support our loved ones.

Being able to connect with parents who are supporting their loved one to live a life like everyone else provides me hope, understanding, and acceptance.
